Author Ed Robinson will be at the Rangeley Public Library on Wednesday, July 16th at 6:00 PM to do a one-hour presentation on the graceful white-tailed deer. While we see these lovely creatures in our yards or neighboring forests and fields, most of us know little about them. Writer and photographer Ed Robinson of Orr’s Island, Maine, has studied the whitetail for many years and will share his knowledge of this popular species. The presentation will entertain and educate using stunning photos, biological facts, and stories, with a Q & A session to follow. Ed grew up in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of western New York and developed a deep love for the natural world. Since moving to Maine from England in 2007, he has been exploring Maine and writing extensively about the creatures that live here. Ed recently published his second book of 40 essays and photos titled Nature Notes from Maine: Puffins, Black Bears, Raccoons & More, with the profits benefitting public education and conservation of the environment around us. Ed’s books are available for sale at https://hhltmaine.square.site/shop/books-guides/2. Please stop by the library or call (207) 864-5529 to sign up for this free program.
