Walk in the Woods Summer Series 2024 – Hunter Cove Wildlife Sanctuary

Tuesday, July 9, 2024 (5:00 PM - 7:00 PM) (EDT)

Description

Hunter Cove offers 1.5 miles of easy, flat trails with several loop options. The trails lead out to a beautiful section of Hunter Cove on Rangeley Lake. HCWS is 100 acres of forested lands bordering Rangeley Lake, Dodge Pond Stream, and Route 4. There’s an abundance of habitats for songbirds, wading birds, and amphibians; there is also a deer wintering area. HCWS is a popular bird-watching, snowshoeing, and backcountry skiing property. Several wet areas have bog bridging. Be prepared to get your feet wet.

  • Meet in the parking lot.
  • Please bring water and leave your four-legged friends at home.
