With summer underway in the High Peaks Region, we’re excited to announce two volunteer work days coming up, led by Recreation Ranger Matt Kusper. Spending one or both days out on the trail with us is a great way to give back and spend time with the community in the outdoors- and we need your help to make a difference!
Day 2: Perham Stream Birding Trail -When: August 1st, 9 am to 2 pm -Please meet us at the trailhead on East Madrid Rd. -Trail section reroute and general maintenance
The Perham Stream Birding Trail was the first property owned by HPA! Enjoy sweeping views from the back of Saddleback to Mt. Abraham, and keep your eyes out for the dozens of frequently spotted bird species.
What to bring: -Long pants -Sturdy closed-toe footwear -Other clothes suitable for the weather -Eye protection & work gloves, if you have them -Plenty of water and snacks/lunch -Bug spray and sunscreen are recommended
You’re help is always appreciated! If you have any questions or are interested in additional volunteer work, please contact Matt Kusper at (704) 877-5567 or Matt@highpeaksalliance.org.
