Rangeley Trail Days Set for September 5, 2026
The community of Rangeley is gearing up to host its annual Rangeley Trail Days festival on September 5, 2026. This highly anticipated public gathering celebrates the region's deep connection to nature and the Appalachian Trail. The festival will run from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Haley Pond Park, located on Pond Street in Rangeley.
Throughout the day, families and outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy a wide array of activities, including local vendors, children's activities, games, raffles, and door prizes.

Official Festival Schedule
  • 10:00 AM: Festival Kickoff
    The event officially begins with vendor booths opening to the public. Trail Angel Ms. Janet will start the day's feature events as the special guest speaker for the "Talks from the Trail" series.
  • 11:00 AM: Cookout Fundraiser
    Attendees can grab food at a community cookout. All proceeds from the fundraiser directly benefit the RLRS Outdoor Club.
  • 12:00 PM: Live Music
    The park will feature live entertainment from noted guitarist Denny Breau, bringing local acoustic flair to the festival. (Note: The event program lists this time as 12:00 AM, but it takes place midday during festival hours).
  • 2:00 PM: Ice Cream Challenge & Hiker Feed
    The afternoon wraps up with a community Ice Cream Challenge. Additionally, an all-day "Trail Magic" Hiker Feed, sponsored by Stops, will serve long-distance hikers passing through the Appalachian Trail community.
The event is organized in coordination with the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, highlighting Rangeley's designation as a recognized Appalachian Trail Community. Admission is open to all community members and seasonal visitors.
