John Hutchinson, Patent & Trademark Resource Center Representative at the University of Maine’s Fogler Library, will be at the Rangeley Public Library on Wednesday, July 29th at 6:00 PM to share about the patents that shaped our country, from everyday household items to world-changing technology. We will explore the amazing stories behind the most influential inventions in American history, from telegraphs and sewing machines to airplanes and motion pictures — and meet the inventors who helped shape that legacy. This engaging talk blends national history with individual genius, revealing how patents protected ideas, fueled innovation, and sometimes sparked controversy.
