Explore Maine's scenic trails with us and learn about native tree species and sustainable forest management practices. Led by Maine Forest Service District Forester Julie Davenport and joined by Pete McKinley from the Wilderness Society, these free guided walks are perfect for nature enthusiasts, landowners, and families. Dates & Locations: - June 11, 2025: Shiloh Pond Community Forest (Kingfield) - August 13, 2025: Saddleback Spur of the Fly Rod Crosby Trail (Dallas Plantation) - October 8, 2025: Perham Stream Birding Trail (East Madrid) Gain practical skills in tree identification, learn about active forest management, and discover resources for landowners.
