About

Saddleback Mountain first opened in 1960. After a five-year closure, Saddleback reopened in December 2020, under new ownership. Since reopening, Saddleback has invested over $30 million in mountain-wide improvements, including four new lifts, a renovated base lodge, millions in snowmaking and grooming enhancements, and more lodging. Saddleback was voted "Best Ski Mountain" in Maine in 2022 & 2023 by Down East Magazine. Saddleback has 600+ acres of terrain for every skier and rider, plus a warm, welcoming vibe that makes you feel at home. Saddleback offers a variety of on-mountain food & beverage options. You can dine at 3,620' at the NEW mid-mountain restaurant or kick back and relax at the Pub at the base lodge. There's a mountain of fun in the summer too. Saddleback offers a network of lift-serviced downhill mountain biking trails. The mountain is also widely known as a hiking destination. The Appalachian Trail crosses the summit.
