Wednesday, August 27, 2025 (6:00 PM - 7:00 PM) (EDT)
Description
Author Diane Madden will be at the Rangeley Public Library on Wednesday, August 27th at 6:00 PM to discuss the book, The Story of Neeps & Tattie, which she co-authored with Amy Johnson. Kirkus Reviews listed The Story of Neeps & Tattie as one of the 100 best Indie books of 2024, one of only eight children’s books to make the list. Neeps and Tattie are two rescued tortoises who have lived for over 50 years in Annie McKay’s flower garden, near the shores of Loch Ness, in Scotland. Kirkus Reviews calls it “a charming tale, sure to pique kids’ interest in tortoises - and Scotland”.
Diane Madden has lived in Maine her entire life, growing up in South Portland, raising a family in Portland, and now living in Harrison along with her husband, Ed, their orange tabby cat, Rusty, and a young Hermann's tortoise named Neeps.
