Front Desk Attendant - Outdoor Heritage Museum
Historic Rangeley (also known as Rangeley Lakes Region Historical Society), a nonprofit organization, has an opportunity for a part-time, seasonal Front Desk Attendant at the Outdoor Heritage Museum in Oquossoc. The Front Desk Attendant serves as the face of the museum and plays an important role in providing a positive guest experience at this small but growing regional museum that welcomes around 4,000 visitors a year. The position requires excellent customer service; adeptness and accuracy while operating a POS system and handling cash; professionalism; and a commitment to the mission of Historic Rangeley. Occasionally, this position may be occasionally required to perform similar work at the Rangeley History Museum in Rangeley, ME.
Qualifications:
- Experience in customer service and retail preferred, but training will be provided
- Interest in and willingness to learn Rangeley Region history
- Ability to operate and manage Square point of sale system (training will be provided)
- Basic math and computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication abilities
- Integrity and honesty; a commitment to the organization’s mission and serving the public
- Calm and professional under pressure
- Attention to detail
- Works well independently and as part of a team
Schedule and Compensation:
