Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with experience in various aspects of food preparation and service. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high quality meals to our guests and local clientele.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in menu planning, ensuring a variety of options that meet dietary needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Handle food safely, adhering to all food handling guidelines and regulations.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other cooking tools.
- Provide additional culinary support for catering & events when needed.
- Prepare meals according to specific dietary requirements upon request.
Experience
- Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role within the food industry is required.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques, food handling, and safety standards is essential.
- Experience working within a catering & event environment is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with FOH and BOH team members.
- A passion for cooking and providing excellent food is a must.
