Sandy River Plantation is seeking a dependable and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Transfer Station Attendant. This part-time role involves overseeing daily operations at the local transfer station and assisting residents with proper waste disposal in compliance with Maine state regulations.

Duties include:

 Opening and closing the transfer station during scheduled hours

 Monitoring and guiding residents on the proper disposal of household waste and

recyclables

 Maintaining accurate clerical records as required by relevant agencies, ensuring

compliance with state record-keeping regulations for transfer stations

 Ensuring the transfer station site is clean, organized, and safe

 Reporting maintenance needs or concerns to town officials

 Performing light maintenance and organization of disposal areas as needed

Qualifications:

 Dependable with the ability to work independently

 Good communication and interpersonal skills

 Ability to perform light physical labor and work outdoors in varying weather

conditions

 Familiarity with proper waste and recycling procedures is a plus

Schedule & Compensation:

 Part-time, approximately 10 hours per week

 Paid bi-weekly, with hourly wage based on experience
